Ken Levy probably said what he was instructed to say. Microsoft has a strong NDA culture.
I proposed different figures from reliable sources.

Better propose something else that asserting BS; this takes the debate nowhere.

>I can tell you that Ken Levy often said there were 100,000 VFP developers world wide. That means every developer had applications running on 1500 PCs. I just don't buy that. And you're saying that if it weren't for the VFP app, those PC would not be sold. Again, that's a lot of BS.

>>Common sense is enough ... Just look at how much revenue you can make per user per year (about $600), thus how many users you need to pay your bills, time, advertisement, rental, clerks, your work and make profit.
>>
>>Can't tell you where we got the number of developers from, what I can tell for sure it's conservative. Nothing to do with the number of licenses sold.
>>
>>Though I'm sure the Fox team has made some research on 'real' developer counts, I doubt they chose the good rationale to defend VFP against those at ms who had wanted, for almost 10 years, to kill it.
