I can certainly see the appeal of a web-based solution.
Most of our clients are using desktop apps to share Office files with their clients and vendors and that is so ingrained now that I can't see it changing until there has been a large swing in another direction.
That said, these swings can happen quickly, so we have to be nimble.
For almost a decade, the fax was the standard mode of communication between businesses.
Then, almost overnight, our apps that interfaced with the fax were replaced by apps using email and attachments.
Lately, I've been noticing a swing away from .pdf's toward Excel spreadsheets.
