Ah, a market bench fee, kind of. Plus the percentage, of sales, eh? An even better racket, a real nice job if you can get it. Calling it a "developer's license" is a nice stylistic touch, though. You can put "licensed to write a killer app" on your CV. And you can hire unlicensed coders and pay them less than yourself.
I guess there's still some fun to be found in this line of work, or else I'd be somewhere else.
