>Ya, well, you don't seem like the kind of guy to hide behind a facade. > >Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm definitely not. I'm a lot of things, but I'm always..."me". > >Part of the problem is I have a long relationship with someone who DID create multiple identities as a joke (John Petersen, as the infamous "Joe Bob"). Some think I've done it along with him. I haven't. > >One person even speculated that Grover's supposed home town (Kitty Hawk) was a tongue-in-cheek clue tied to my favorite basketball team's name that's also part of my email address (KUJayhawks). > >I'm sure people think I'm an idiot for harping on something that happened 2 years ago, but I would still love to know who pulled this. I'd almost be willing to pay $$$ to know. I still feel a bit like a sitting target. Such is the life of those who are OCD.... :)
I don't know what caused the falling out between you and John and don't need to. All I can say is I met him twice at conferences where he was speaking and found him perfectly charming in person. I am a firm believer that all rifts can be patched up.
The NFL kicks off tonight. I know we will both be watching. The hockey season was cool beyond belief -- I am now the proud owner of a Jonathan Toews jersey, my second piece of sports attire after a Pat Tillman jersey -- but I am ready for some football.
