That was a great Rose Bowl last year. It turned out good for you, bad for me. Those were two really good teams. I am still pissed at Brett Bielema for walking away from his team not long before the Rose Bowl to take the Arkansas job. (Why? To get his brains beat in in the SEC?) I thought it might have been a movie plot -- legendary coach comes back to coach one last game, the Rose Bowl no less. Alas, the last drive ended when time ran out and there was no movie ending. The word from Wisconsin is Barry Alvarez is still mad at Bielema for bailing out on them. To me that is one of the best coaching jobs in college football -- great city, great program, great recruits.

Sometimes I think Alabama is playing a different game from everyone else. (That was a total demolition of Notre Dame in the BCS game, which always puts a smile on my face. ND lost again yesterday to Michigan). But they send so many players to the NFL you wonder if they can keep reloading every year.
