>>>The ironic thing about Chevy's portrayal of Ford as a physical klutz, of course, was that Ford was probably the most athletic president we'd had since maybe Teddy Roosevelt and then going back to Lincoln's wrestling or Washington swimming the Rappahannock.

>>Yes, but this man was truly a menace on the golf course. He hit them not only sideways but behind himself. The secret service guys wore helmets.

>I understand Dubya is quite fit, he was at one time a pretty serious mountain biker, don't know if he still is.
Of all the presidential golf swings I've seen, Dubya's is one of the best. He takes a gusty cut at the ball.
Dubya shares another hobby with me- oil painting.
I've seen some of his paintings and he does fairly well.
While he was in office I sent him a portrait that I did of him and he graciously sent me a nice letter admiring the painting and thanking me for it.
I was stunned when I got the letter. That was really nice of him.
I only found out later that he is also a painter.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
