>Here are some successful QBs with a career completion % under 50% - these names have either won championships or made it to championship games:

>I can name many "successful" QBs who have a TD/INT ratio worse than Tebow's. Sure, there are games where Tebow will throw many incompletions, but he doesn't hurt his team by throwing INTs at the same rate other QBs have.

>Tim Tebow accomplished something that rarely happens - he beat the Steelers in an opening round playoff game. Historically, when the Steelers make the playoffs, they rarely lose in the opening round. But not in this game:

>Remember that it takes a long time for QBs to learn how to read modern defenses and how to make quick decisions. I'd like everyone reading this thread to remember how BAD Jay Cutler was in his first few years. Most scouts thought Cutler was the least intelligent QB they'd ever seen. Well, with the right coaching and with time and experience, Cutler has gotten better. The problem is that no team has given Tebow the chance to mature over the course of a few seasons.

>On the comment that Tebow doesn't have an arm....I really wonder how much people who say that have actually watched Tebow . Yes, he can look very bad - he can also look pretty good. I'm sure Mike Beane recalls this game:

>Also, while this one was obviously put together by a big fan, it still shows some of his big plays, both as a passer and a runner. Again, the issue was his inconsistency. He could throw well - he just didn't throw well with any consistency:

>Watch the entire highlights - you see some bad mechanics from Tebow for sure - you also see him making some big plays. He took over as starting QB in Denver in 2011 when they were 1-4, and he helped them win 6 straight games - and a playoff victory. Mr. Peyton Manning threw an interception in OT that led to their loss in their first playoff game last January.

>Believe me, I don't think Tebow is great. He needs more guidance. But he's a playmaker. And AFAIAC, the Denver organization screwed him, so I consider it cosmic justice that Denver got knocked out in their first game. I wish Jacksonville had given him a shot.

I do recall that game. Thank you for reminding me ;-)

He had his run at the end of his one successful NFL season. I'll grant him that. It was enough to think maybe God cares about football. I still think there is a reason three NFL teams have cut him.
