But that's not visibly a gmail account. If I got an email asking me to buy a product/service from a company and the email account had gmail.com in the address, you go to spam. Same would be for outlook.com, yahoo.com, hotmail.com, etc. If you're running a business, become a business and get a real email address. Running it using a gmail account looks like amateur hour.

But now you're qualifying - whether the email account that you see in your inbox has "gmail.com" in the visible address, versus an email from a GMail account that's actually mapped back to a company name, and the company name is what you see in the sender. In both instances, both are GMail Accounts.

I agree that if you're running a business, it's best to get a real email address. My point is that I've seen companies use this approach, and I wouldn't describe them as amateur.
