My former in-laws -- now sadly deceased -- were married for 55 years. And bickered for just about all of them ;-)

People always complain about their in-laws. I never had a complaint. The whole family was great. The only one I couldn't get along with was the one I married. Fortunately we are amiable again due to our mutual interest in our daughters. In fact she just called an hour ago. Major drama over Emily's study abroad program coming up. When I was in Maine recently my sister Rachel and I agreed we regret not doing so.
