And yes, scheduling is hard. I still think the rule I articulated is the right one: If not on Christmas, not on Yom Kippur. But I am glad to hear that it was at least a hard call. Yeah, it was definitely a hard call, that much I know.
As for not having it on Christmas, it's true, at least in the U.S. Though there's a 2nd reason it wouldn't be likely, at least in parts of the country - they try not to have community events during the periods where snow/ice occur.
