But I'm sure in Orthodox families, they do make it through Shabbat and holy days without their phones. I've actually seen articles discussing how good it is to have one day a week that's "unplugged."

If I had to go without my cell phone , my iPad, and my laptop for 1 hour I'd lapse into a state of catatonic schizophrenia :)
