...and I start out week 3 with a loss. Figures.

Now that I got to watch the Chiefs play a whole game here what I saw.

The D is better than I thought and I already thought they were much improved.
Charles is Charles and they are using him A LOT. Can keep up that workload for 16+ games, I don't know, but for now he IS the offense.
Speaking of offense, other than Charles there's not much. Smith is still a game manager. Hand it to Charles, toss it to Charles and occastionally throw a crossing route to keep the D honest.

My biggest concern besides Charles going down is the lack of offensive production. In the 1st half the D forced 4 turnovers and the O converted that into only 9 points. The other 7 were from a pick 6.

The biggest upside I saw was the clinching drive in the 4th. After a bobbled kick, pinned inside the 5 facing 3rd and long, they convert and march down the field for 8 minutes to kick the field goal to put them up by 2 scores. Clutch.

Looking ahead, I can see the Chiefs going 6-0 before a facing the Texans. Should be a good game.
Following that they'll beat up on a couple cupcakes, rest for a bye week and then the next 2 of 3 games are against the Broncos for control of the AFC West.
