I'm not aware of Congress or the President channeling trillions of dollars for their private benefit. Surely the criticism is the opposite?

I can see why you'd accuse banking of crony capitalism, but what else did you have in mind? As for food stamps - why are they needed, and will people be happy to "eat cake" if they are eliminated?
