>Hey! great to see you back here. Don't know when you got back - my computer deep sixed and they took it away for 3 weeks and then gave it back to me unfixed (but they seemed to think it was - even though it still wouldn't boot) so they took it away again for another 3 weeks. So I haven't been around much. Anyway, nice to see you back.

>Hi, Alan, good to hear from you. I rose from the grave about a month ago :)

>Sorry you had to go without your computer for 3 weeks - ouch.

That would be 6 weeks, and if it weren't for my cell phone. I'd probably have attacked a post office.

>Since you're a jazz guy - this summer I started going to jazz clubs in NYC with some friends. We're trying to go once every two months or so. We saw Ravi Coltrane and his quartet at Birdland. He was AWESOME. Also saw Azar Lawrence at another club - he was also great. I've been re-listening to Art Blakey and picked up a few albums I'd never listened to before.

>Drove home from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg a few weekends ago and listened to a ton of Lee Morgan. Don't know if you've ever listened to "Live at the Lighthouse" - it's from a gig he did in the 70's, and it's outstanding.

I have a bunch of Lee Morgan around here, but I haven't listened to him for a while. Who knows, I might have that somewhere (I kind of don't think so though). Morgan is one of those players like Miles or Trane that is almost instantly recognizable. Imagine if he'd lived out of his 20s.
