Don't know if you have ever watched Melissa Harris-Perry on MSNBC....the majority of the time she is about as liberal as it gets, but there are times she makes some points I completely agree with, and that is one of them.

I'll admit I never pass up a chance to remind people of this - that's why I'm proud of the years I spent in the WIC program (Women, Infants, and Children nutritional supplement program here in the U.S.) The development of a kid's brain and central nervous system is huge in those first few years, and food plays a huge role.
