Its not quite as rosy as that. In fact I would say thats its a problem that when a government gets a large majority in Parliament they can push through their agenda even though the majority of the country may not be in favour. Thatcher was a clear example of this. She steered this country to the right without the majority of the population supporting that course. Your goverment may be dealocked but isn't that what checks and balances are suppose to do. (Maybe)
