I believe it's the 2nd....but (in all honesty), picking all home teams is not really picking. (And I think you know that) :)

In most football pools, even if you did pick all home teams, you'd have to rank probability.

For example, I picked the Bears (who were the home team) to beat the Saints, but I would have given it a low ranking (maybe 3 ). I was very confident that KC and Denver (road teams) would win over Tennessee and Dallas, respectively, and probably would have given it a higher ranking (10 and 11). After all games are done, you sum the rankings for the teams you picked correctly, and you subtract from that the sum of the rankings for your incorrect picks. In that case, my score (for those 3 games) would have been 18 ( 10 + 11, less 3)

So a person might go 8-6 in a week with 14 games, but based on the strength of picks, might score higher than a person who went 9-5.

And so, since Swami Jr sets the house rules, that's what we're going to do next week. :)

(If nothing else, it forces everyone to think about strength of selections)
