I agree about the entitlement machine.
During the Romney campaign, Woody Johnson- owner of the Jets, CEO of J&J and one or Mitt's principal contributors, when interviewed on CNBC, warned about the "handouts" that would inevitably follow Obama's re-election.
At last reckoning, Woody has a net worth of about $6 billion.
His major accomplishment in life was being a cell in the egg that happened to be fertilized by some sperm named Johnson that was several generations away from the founder of J&J.
As I figure it, Woody got one hell of a handout compared to that phone lady.

Since the Reagan years, Woody and his pals have decimated the inheritance tax (cutely renaming it the "death tax") resulting in a huge transfer of wealth to people who have done absolutely nothing to earn it.

Woody and his pals like the Bushes, the Duponts, the Rockefellers, etc are admitted to schools like Princeton, Harvard, Yale, etc. that have basically been priced out of reach of anyone except someone with their inherited wealth.
Steve Forbes, one of the biggest ranters about handouts, has never earned a dime on his own. His father Malcolm, who inherited the magazine from his father, had a few brains, but passed on only money to his sons.
Steve and all his brothers went to Princeton.
I have two grandsons in high school with high GPA's who can't even think about those schools.
Both of their parents are PE's who work their butts off to save as much money as they can for their kids' schooling, but those schools are just out of reach.
Woody, Steve and their pals just waltz in.
That phone lady might be cleaning those schools at night after leaving her first job.
I agree.
We need to something about entitlements.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
Malcolm Forbes, Sr.
