>>There's very little value that can come from a dialog where one participant makes this kind of superficial implication.

"Superficial" sums it up. Von Mises wasn't discussing US Democrat Presidents in 2013, he's just used as a tenuous association to call the President names.

>>More and more political analysts in the U.S., at least those who aren't blanket shills for Obama, are agreeing that this administration is showing strong fascist signs - though a rather unusual brand, in that fascist movements generally align with strong nationalism, whereas Barack Obama would prefer the U.S. be watered down by "other" nations.

So you're saying Obama is both Fascist and anti-Fascist. The Fascist label is more delicious, so lets build an attack around that. I know, lets say that "more and more political analysts, at least those who aren't shills for Obama" agree with us. Provide no specifics because that might ruin the delicious painting of Obama as a Fascist, just throw the assertion out there and if anybody disagrees, assert that they're not experts on Austrian economics so you must be right.

>>Austrian economics is not a religion. It is certainly not a perfect methodology, but economists from the Austrian school are credited with authoring some of the most penetrating analysis of economist history. One of those is Benjamin Anderson's devastating critique of both Herbert Hoover and FDR:

There have been lots of historic smart dudes, but the important point is that a critique of Hoover and FDR is a critique of Hoover and FDR. Your connection to Obama is not what the author said. It's what you said, trying to use the author's mantle of respectability. The word you used was "superficial" and you're correct about the value of it. If you think you have more, be specific- I don't mean play the schoolmaster by implying superior knowledge vested in you, I mean be specific.

>>But it begs the question - have you read/studied von Mises, Hazlitt, Hayek, Anderson, or Reisman (one of von Mises' top students)? Have you ever attended a conference or lecture presented by an Austrian economist?

LOL. To respond in kind: have you traveled outside the US? Doesn't stop people claiming to be an authority on Fascism, national health schemes and anything else that Obama did wrong.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
