>>In the absence of more direct replies, I'll take that as a "no". At least the original question wasn't nearly as constrained by geography <s>
The original question was an ad hominem attempt to avoid specifics. As I keep saying, if you have specifics, then state them. Then I will be capable of replying, or I will not. Acting the schoolmaster to prejudge the competence of others is not an excuse to avoid specifics.
To be clear: apart from extravgant prose, how are von Mises, Obama and Goebbels connected to apparatchik behavior at the ATF?
>>You characterized the Austrian school as a religion. Certainly entitled to ask why....my point is that the Austrian school has been credited for going far deeper than "conventional wisdom" in analyzing historical events.
It's a religion when people venerate names and rely on acts of faith with no need to justify because faith is a virtue. That's not an attack on religion, it's an observation. If I'm wrong, prove it: make your specific assertion without extravagant prose or any ad hominem stuff.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
