>>Boehner won't let the vote occur because he knows that he'll lose and it will be funded, so it's a bit of a stretch to say that the house wants to fund everything but ACA.

>Tactically, it makes no sense to me.
>If the ACA fails, Obama and company can point to hundreds of things that the repubs have done - including all those votes you mentioned - and this silliness - to thwart it and deny health care to people who can't otherwise afford it. If you recall, they did it to Bill and Hillary's health care plan in the first Clinton administration and if anything, their actions increased the zeal of its supporters for the next round.

You're right Bill. That is one of the things I find so frustrating - the repubs have basically put themselves in a no-win situation. The 'bet' is that they can spread enough misinformation, keep information from getting to the people, and just flat out lie to avoid going the way of the Whigs. Sadly I don't have much faith in the American voter these days so they just might get away with it -- hopefully people will not be suckered by them next time around (but until the old-farts watching foxnews die off and quit voting we might be stuck). It's a real shame too - hey I've voted republican before, they've had great idea's in the past - but sure not like that today.
