But actually, what I was referring to was his first run for State Senate - his campaign had people (including the incumbent) thrown off the ballot for petition signature forgery - which was true, though it was later proven it occurred in his camp as well.

Additionally, in the 2008 Dem. Primaries, 2 DNC people in Indiana committed massive petition signature forgery in 2 key congressional districts to get him on the ballot in the Primary. Without the forged sigs, he did not have enough to get on the ballot. Those men were sentenced to prison back in the spring of this year - a fact that most media outlets ignored.

This is largely why people equate Obama with "Chicago Politics", a characterization that MSNBC states is racist. (They'll refer to news reports that talk about his campaign as racist, but they won't talk about the actual activities that lead to the characterization)

Bottom line: yes, no politician is pristine when it comes to these things. I understand that. (For instance, Ronald Reagan is loved by many, but the truth is that he might have cost Gerald Ford the White House in 1976 by refusing to help him in key states that Carter wound up carrying.) But from my perspective, Barack Obama's campaigns are the dirtiest, most corrupt, most crooked of all.
