In fairness, the 634 million contains work awarded to the same contractor (CGI Federal) before Obamacare.
There's an unconfirmed report from HHS that roughly 51,000 have actually signed up so far.
What some are curious to know (but don't know if it will be published) is how that number breaks down: # of people who signed up on the exchanges because they lost insurance elsewhere, vs all others.
As much of a PR fiasco as this is for them, there's apparently a sentiment (from blogs I read last night) that the administration itself isn't overly concerned right now - they just wanted to have the site up on Oct 1.
