The act of coming to this thread and taunting Rick because of his beliefs is not in any code of ethics that I've come across. Actually, if you'll take note, when a few people replied to Rick, I basically jumped in and said it was no big deal, there was always the opportunity to "change the channel", and I didn't feel that posting one's own view of spirituality was "ramming something down throats". So more or less, I was defending Rick, even though I'm not at all religious.
But when the spirituality gets projected onto others, well, it's seldom positive, and it a bit of a different story.
And as for someone being a good guy - I'm sure he is. But I asked the question I asked for a reason. I don't taunt, but I do explore. And the idea of hypothetically showing up at a funeral and using it as a "teaching point" on morals is hypothetically insensitive and beyond my ability to stay silent.
Different note - think you'll be in NYC on Monday night?
