Even IIF alot of the Y2K issues get resolved, the ones remaining (along with the help of the panic that will be created by our wonderful 1st Amendement touting media) will create a global financial meltdown - IMHO. The Federal Reserve is already planning to increase reserve requirements, thus anticipating an increase in the demand for cash.

I'm not a "doomsday" kind of a guy, but this is serious stuff.

However, there will be opportunities to make mega $$$ prior to 12/31/1999. "Short" the stock market, but make sure to close all positions before 12/31/1999. There are only two problems with this: [1] when to short the market (probably in the 3rd quarter of 1999); and [2] whether or not to even bother because $$$ may not be worth anything.

Luckly, my family has a large "self-contained" farm in Virginia where my wife and I will probably go. Gottah get a nightscope for my 30-30 :>)
