>>Hi,

>>I have my app installed on a Windows 2008 R2 server. On two Workstations a have links on the desktop connected to that installed EXE. On the Windows 7 workstation the the Icon included in my EXE is shown. On my Windows 8 workstation I can not manage to get the icon shown. I also tryed to add another "standalone" ico file to the dekstop link. But the icon is not show. Insted I get an icon that looks like a blank sheet of paper.

I may be wrong but I reckon that new versions of Windows typically tend to require that your icon file includes multiples views including a higher definition one (vs legacy versions).

Thank you Francois,
It works when the EXE is on the local drive. So I think it schould have the necessary resolutions in it.
Any other idea?
