Damn, you ruined it for me now! Ha, sorry, yes, in retrospect, I shouldn't have mentioned the ending.
When I watched it, I didn't know how it was going to end. I was hoping for an ending where Tom Hanks' character somehow saved John Coffey. I'm not exaggerating, I was screaming at the end, that's how emotionally involved I got in the movie. There are a million great lines in the script, and Hanks was brilliant. My list of top movies had 3 Hanks films in there....and even the ridiculously silly "You've Got Mail" was still made respectable with Hanks in there.
