How about some stories about people benefiting from this Kevin or absolutely no-one in the whole USA getting any benefit ?

Actually, the bigger concern I have is the potential for increased identify theft. There have been confirmed reports that the entire system doesn't have sufficient security. The "navigators" have not been sufficiently trained and have not gone through any background check at all.

And then you have involvement of the IRS, at a time where the political actions at the executive level of the IRS are alarming. I personally would feel more comfortable if our Attorney General would actually initiate formal investigations - which he absolutely refuses to do.

As for benefits...there is a big difference between a document saying you have health coverage, and actually receiving decent health care. It is too early to see significant benefits (which I will be very surprised if we do). While there are some who are reporting they'll have lower premiums, the numbers from independent actuaries show that most are seeing higher premiums.

A major number I will be interested in seeing - the # of enrollees who enrolled because they lost their plan due to the change, versus the # of all others. That might likely be a compelling ratio.

I'm not a fan of Sarah Palin, and even I thought she was exaggerating when she spoke of death panels - until the story of HHS head Kathleen Sibelius and her despicable response to the parents of Sarah Murnaghan - which validated every fear of the pending IPABs. Fortunately, a federal judge stepped in and essentially told Sibelius she could take her "moral stance" and shove it, and ordered Sibelius to allow the girl to be placed on adult lung transplant list - an order that doctors believe saved her life.
