There is a very similar story in today's Tribune about a 15 year old boy in southern Illinois. (I would post a link but have had problems before with links to their articles, which are now restricted to Tribune subscribers). In that case it was specifically attributed to bullying. The boy's father has a campaign going to combat bullying. I wish him luck, without a lot of hope. It's hard to tell kids that age anything, at least the sad sacks who feel the need to be bullies.
