I'm not sure but you might try changing the .Sparse setting for the column. IMHO, I wouldn't suggest displaying the memo this way. I would suggest one of two ways:

1. Have an editbox by the grid that contains the memo for the current record.

2. Put a command button in the grid that will launch an edit window for the current record memo.
