I'm not sure those degrees would make much of a difference. I've looked at CS curriculum for a number of universities. They simply don't teach things like source control, SOLID, dependency injection, unit testing, design patterns, continuous integration, etc. These are the things that make a difference. Craig, some college CS curriculum actually does cover several of those topics.
However, I know from first-hand experience that they're covered in such a terrible way that some students walk away thinking those concepts are a hindrance.
