Juts in that one little sentence you are showing that there are no "facts " just the usual polemic.

Are accused you of confirmation bias and I'd stand by that. And nice to see your glove puppet Mike chipping in too :-)

I'm afraid you didn't read everything.

The state of Oregon sent notices out to all people who qualified for SNAP (food stamps) in the last year, to let them know that based on income eligibility, they are pre-qualified for new health plans they previously did not have. (Something I didn't realize until tonight - the notice letter also indicated that savings and property would not play a role in pre-qualifying.)

The White House boasted about the success story here - 56,000 people enrolled based on pre-qualification - they only need to make a phone call or send in a form of content. But, but because of their income, they'll qualify for subsidized plans. But unless the rules change, they won't be paying premiums.

As for Kentucky, I saw the governor on MSNBC tonight, talking about the # of people who didn't have insurance before who are signed up now. This is speculation on my part, but I'm guessing Kentucky might have had similar outreaches.

And that is the story that most of the press (even ones critical of the web system) are ignoring - the ratio of people enrolling in subsidized plans. There are actuaries who have calculated the # of enrollments and how much those paying into the system will factor into projections. Indications right now are a disproportionate mix-shift . The rate of enrollment of those paying premiums is going to have to accelerate significantly.

I agree with John Ryan on one point - we will have to see how this shakes out. But so far, this looks very bad.
