We cloned a Web server from a virtual environment. This server seems to have been perfectly cloned. All is working ok, well, except one little thing. I have discovered that at the Web site level, in IIS, that the account used for the application pool and the Web site generates an Audit Failure logon error log in the Security log. Whenever a hit is accessed to the Web site, this shuts down the application pool. I restart the application pool, do another it, the error is logged and the application pool shuts down. I am wondering if this is a side effect at the cloning level that is not fully compliant with IIS which might require IIS to be reinstalled or something else. Anyone has done something like this before?
