>>On AHCA, history will judge this very badly - not just for the effects, but also for ignoring the immigration issue until he could jam AHCA through Congress.

In assessing someone's accomplishments, I usually look at what has happened rather than at what might happen.

>>I'm not a big fan of Reagan or Bush, but truthfully, I'd take them over Barack Obama. Both men were governors, and I'll take a flawed governor with at least 1 full term of experience over a junior politician who is frequently out-matched on Constitutional issues and has no real experience in anything other than community organizing.

With Reagan, you might have an argument.
Bush, however, conceived, orchestrated and oversaw the largest foreign policy blunder that any country has made since Vietnam.
It resulted in hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths ( more are happening daily.)
It cost thousands of US deaths and casualties and remains the largest single contributor the US national debt.

This draft-dodging moron who drank his way thru Yale on dad's money actually wanted people to put their Social Security savings into the stock market, just months before the crash that wiped out trillions of dollars from pension funds. Fortunately, even the people in his own party squashed that whacky notion.

His executive prowess was on full display as he said "Heckuva job, Brownie!" for his great work on Katrina.

What specific experience as a governor do you think helped him to accomplish all that?
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
