>>I don't really have much point of comparison but I know the bundling (I have AT&T uverse) makes for a pretty expensive package. I pay $250 a month or so for broadband, about a 1000 ttv channels including all premium 5 set top boxes, a DVR, and a VOIP phone line. Cell service (also AT&T) is about $80 a month for pretty much unlimited voice and 3gb data (which is more than I need as I am almost always on wireless)

That's not far out of line with what I pay for Optimum from Cablevision.
I get pretty fast broadband, basic cable (about 25 channels) with one box and voice for about $125 including tax.
Broadband alone is about $30, I think.
The typical US household pays a lot more for TV, as Charles points out.
I hope they keep it up, since they subsidize broadband which runs over the TV cables and would be a lot more expensive without all those TV $ to support it.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
