What website is that ? Link ?

I usually buy only strictly informational portions of guru's posts/blogs, while routinely disregard ideological code mantras. :)
Those are good for juniors starting up programming life. After doing this for as long as we do, I believe we are qualified enough to break some rules
when we see fit or profitable. Breaking rule here and there as matter of decision and breaking rules due to lack of knowledge and experience are two different things all together. :)

>I only strongly disagree about recursion being the most popular genre here. IMO, the most popular genre is date calculation. Just try to ask for code which, for example, lists months which have five fridays in a given year, and start counting the attempts. Somewhere 20 messages down the thread, a "but I can't see how this can be done in one line" should appear.

You are right. I do not read all of those but they are sure plenty.
I dunno why, but I do not like those intimidating oneliners that cook the chicken and wash the dishes in the same time...
Looks cool at first glance, but when you come back to the same code few years later it takes twice more of ingenuity to understand what/how/why it does
what it does to come up with one. If you do not pay on the bridge...
