speaking of the another term often used to refer to tractor-trailer combination -- "18-wheeler"....
Does a Boeing 747 qualify as being an "18-wheeler"? (landing gear - four bogies with four wheels each and two wheels on the nose)
>Semi Trailer or Tractor Trailer in US terms.

>>>Just a thought - Just imagine if we still a 8" floppies and you had to order VS 2012 on them.

>>Pardon the uninitiated, semi-what? Semicircle, semicolon, semiprecious stone, semiquaver, semitone, semiconductor...?
one of the funniest awkward moment I remember was when someone had asked for a "stiffie".
"Can I have a stiffie?"
(somewhat surprised) "A what?!?"
"a disc, but not one that's floppy but hard... crunch or stiff"
"Ah... you mean a 3.5" diskette?"
"Yes!"
After handing the person the 3.5" floppy diskette, explained the common interpretation of "stiffie" by an American would be penile erection,
Speaking of misunderstandings in English...
