You should consider how a country can be governed.It has to be by consent. The Republican right seem to be leaving that . They should concentrate on getting their "turn". I wouldn't mind but for the most powerful country on earth to be lurching round like this is not re-assuring

You should try to understand that our system of government in the US is a representative republic and is nothing like the Parliamentary Democracy of the UK. Our founding fathers designed the system so that there would be checks and balances. We do not wait for each side to "get its turn". True, Obama won the election in 2012 with 51.01% of the popular vote. If this meant that the democrats could now do whatever they wanted without any kind of opposition (from republicans or anyone else), this would leave almost half the country disenfranchised.

Yet you seem to think that this gives them a mandate? Why? Just curious....
