An estimated 2 million people in the streets of downtown Boston for the victory parade on Sunday. I started out the WS cheering for the Cardinals from working there two years ago on a contract, including their memorable stretch run and World Series win. But I am happy for the Red Sox and their fans.

The camaraderie was terrific and I really like John Farrell. He doesn't talk a lot but you can tell his players would run through a wall for him.

David Ortiz, I don't know that there is anything left to be said. He was locked in in a way every hitter dreams of. He went 11 for 16 and even the outs were hit hard. At one point he had faced 73 pitchesagainst good pitchers and swung through 3 of them.

Yeah, I would rather be working. For the time being I am focused on keeping my side of the street clean.

>How do you keep up with all the NFL games, every week? I am in awe of your time efficiency. I watch just one game a week - of course Patriots game - and feel guilty afterward for spending 3.5 hours watching football. You, it seems, watch all games (or at least highlights); right?

>>I've loved KC Chiefs since early October 1991

>>I watched a MNF game at Arrowhead against Buffalo (the defending AFC champs) in Oct 1991. It was awesome...Christian Okaye ran for a ton of yards and KC's defense just obliterated Buffalo. I think the final was 33-6 or something similar. At the time I didn't have a favorite team - until that night. The magic of Arrowhead got to me.

>>Browns have fought valiantly this year. They are on their way up, if they can find stability at key positions. And don't look now, but they are in the mix of the AFC teams that might be fighting for the 2nd wild card. Wild card #1 will likely go to either Denver or KC (whichever doesn't win the AFC West)....and look at the rest of the teams for WC spot #2...

>>Jets, 5-4
>>Miami, 4-4
>>Browns, 4-5
>>Titans, 4-4
>>SD, 4-4

>>I'm discounting the 3-win teams right now.
>>
>>I believe the Browns play the Jets late in the season. There could be significant WC implications.
