I really miss this guy at odd moments. We knew each other on the FoxForum for a long time, in the way online acquaintances know each other, then met for dinner with Brad Schulz when I was in town for a C conference. From that time on we were very good online and telephone friends. When he died unexpectedly it was a jolt. I still can't quite believe it. I still picture him walking around at DevCon at the Marriott in San Diego in red shorts and no socks.

The point of this odd message is that is if there is someone you really like in this admittedly aging community, let them know. It doesn't need to be and probably shouldn't be public. Tell them today. Tomorrow may not come.
