Of course, there are products out there like VM Fusion etc that supposedly let you do everything in a virtual Windows machine.

Personally I have a love\hate relationship with my Mac, what I really want is a hybrid OS that combines the best of BOTH worlds.

I have been doing VFP development on my Parallels VM for about 8 months now, it doesn't run as fast as if it was booted into Windows natively, but no problems. Our application uses several OCX, dll, .Net and other controls, all seem to work just fine. Parallels also have a great migration tool that will basically "clone" you old Windows machine, you will have to register some things like Office, but I was impress at the job it did. (one note, I have a problem with the Mac going to sleep and turning off the network connection, so disable that BEFORE you attempt a copy or use the cable that comes with Parallels, I order mine online so I didn't get one).

Also be careful about updates, when I updated to OS X 10.9, my VM would NOT boot, had to pay for an upgrade to the latest version of Parallels. If you are going to be doing a lot of VM stuff I would also get as much RAM as you can fit in your machine.... you will just be happier in the long run. I have 8, NOT enough.

Hope this helps. If ya have any more questions, feel free to ask away.
