I agree with you there. I have two boys. My oldest got his Bachelor's Degree last year in Network Security from ITT Tech. He had some coding classes.
My youngest studies history and writes just fine on his own. He's trying to find what he wants to do. I'm encouraging him to learn a bit of coding.
