In something like five of the last seven years, Oregon has had a shot late in the year to finish as one of the two top college teams (thereby playing for the National Championship). But almost every time, they've lost a game late in the year. They are an exciting, dynamic team with incredible speed and a great QB - but just can't go all the way. So I'll have to hear it again from John Harvey (like I do every year) about Alabama being the best college team in the nation.

I hate to admit John is right but think he is in this case.

It's not like Stanford is a slouch team.
