Yeah that's one way - as long as you can do what you need to in async JavaScript. Most likely you'll just push messages to VFP and have VFP poll for these messages using semaphores on. Not so easy to do event based notifications though since you can't host node.

I would look into doing WebSockets right out of FoxPro or interfacing with something like SignalR. If you can do that then you can make each application a host pretty easily. I've been meaning to check this out, but just haven't had time...
