I have advocated traveling the road less traveled many times so will give it a shot on your recommendation. I will watch at least three episodes, which is long enough to form a fair assessment.

For sure I do not fit the software developer stereotype of sci-fi fans. The late great Drew Speedie and I had a memorable discussion at a pizza dinner after a Chicago FUDG meeting which he agreed to present at the last minute. We agreed that sci-fi didn't grab us.

Any mention of Drew's name always bothers me. The official account from the National Park Service was that he jumped off a bridge to his death at Yellowstone. That was an account based on the testimony of a single witness, a civilian who saw it from a distance. It would surprise me but not shock me if he had suicidal thoughts, as fast and energetically as he expressed his thoughts. Ken Levy was known for talking fast, the ideas exploding out of him, but he didn't talk any faster than Drew. The part that has always made me skeptical was taking his son with him. I saw him and Brent together, the love they had for each other, and will never believe Drew took Brent down with him.
