We have an app in VFP9 using a grid with heaps of additional functionality... problem is that the most recent iteration seems to have crossed a threshold with visible sluggishness and problems with Drag-and-drop and keypress management. It was nice to push the grid so far, but the time has come to convert to something that supports variable row layouts, internal headers, node collapse/expand, multiple columns *with images* and other needs better. I know there's lots of options out there- but does anybody have recent personal experience of an ActiveX that works nicely with VFP for this sort of purpose? No need for data entry, it's just a display system that needs snappy performance as it handles keypresses, arrows, drag-and-drop, click/right-click. Effectively a multi-column treeview with maybe 200 rows.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
