Actually that's no longer true. We now support self-contained installations that can run Web Connection without explicit installation or VFP runtimes pre-installed.
That said - I agree. Use Web Connection only if you absolutely need to work with FoxPro (legacy data and application logic), otherwise it's best to move to a more modern environment that's optimized for the Web. Web Connection works and can scale but it's not nearly as easy as something like ASP.NET or any other server backend platform - nature of the VFP runtime requirements.
