>Thanks, it says C$ to C:\ known as Default share and D$ to D:\ known as Default share. So, this explains the situation. It doesn't explain however why I cannot connect using \\Computer\C$. There is something somewhere blocking a map drive connection using syntax \\Computer\C$ towards this new ultrabook. It is probably related to a setting somewhere. The NET SHARE also shows IPC$, ADMIN$ and Users. So, the question is to find if a setting is blocking me from mapping that drive with D$. Otherwise, it would mean this is no longer supported as is.
Google [windows 8 map administrative share].
