If you are referencing to message #1587950, that one was to allow C$ and D$ to be used as is for the share. This is still in effect. But, that was done when I had 8.1. And, the drives were showing ok. Then, I installed 8.1 Enterprise. This is when it started to appear. I can however remove that key and see after a reboot how it would react.
