I seem to have found a solution to the duplicate menu bar item problem I was having. If I push and then pop the menu after doing it, it gets rid of the duplicate menu bar item and displays properly.

Since I got it working with the push and pop, I don't want to invest any more time in actually figuring out what is wrong. I do know the following:

1. I'm using the VFP 6.0 framework.
2. The activate menu nowait didn't work
3. The set sysmenu automatic didn't work
4. The set skip of menu .t., set skip of menu .f. - continued to display the menu with the dup item.
5. Show menu all didn't work
